Who We Are

The CleanSafe365 Coalition represents thousands of employees and hundreds of businesses who proudly serve as city ambassadors, many of whom are longtime San Francisco residents. We understand the difficult job San Francisco faces to find a lasting solution, but we are frustrated with the current recipe of more funding, more programs and more taxes that isn’t working.

As long-time contributing community partners, we have hands-on experience with the city’s service providers addressing the needs of people who are homeless, mentally ill and addicted.

CleanSafe365 members are willing partners for Mayor Breed, her administration and the City of San Francisco. On behalf of our businesses, merchant groups, civic organizations, community benefit districts and property owners, we?re committed to finding and supporting sustainable solutions.

We continue to be a strong partner for San Francisco and we implore Mayor Breed to deliver Clean and Safe Streets 365 Days Each and Every Year.

CleanSafe365 is a coalition of businesses, merchant groups, civic organizations, community benefit districts and property owners committing to advocating for and supporting sustainable solutions to keep San Francisco streets safe and clean every day of the year.

CleanSafe365 represents hundreds of San Francisco businesses and thousands of employees who proudly serve as city ambassadors and many of whom are longtime residents. We’re tired of watching San Francisco’s street environment become an impediment to growing our businesses, a daily risk for our employees and eroding San Francisco’s global reputation. We want our city leaders and service providers to produce immediate and sustainable solutions and be accountable for measurable results of taxpayer-funded programs.

It’s quite simple – CleanSafe365 wants the streets of San Francisco to be clean and safe every day of the year. We want our city leaders and service providers to produce immediate and sustainable solutions and be accountable for measurable the results of taxpayer-funded programs.

We formed CleanSafe365 to generate immediate and sustainable improvements to the dangerous and dirty street environment in San Francisco. Unfortunately, today residents and guests must step carefully over human waste, broken glass and discarded syringes. The City of San Francisco spends hundreds of millions of dollars annually on programs, policing and clean-up without making improvements. CleanSafe365 is asking our city leaders and service providers to produce immediate and sustainable solutions and be accountable for measurable results of taxpayer-funded programs and to enforce existing laws.

CleanSafe365 will advocate for immediate and sustainable solutions that make the streets of San Francisco clean and safe. We’re focused on ensuring the new mayor’s administration and city service providers deliver measurable results and are held accountable for tangible improvements. Most of our members already have hands-on experience with city programs and we fully expect to continue to be actively engaged partners.

Our city leaders and program providers have worked for years to resolve the degrading street environment in San Francisco. Unfortunately, our street conditions have worsened despite the spending of hundreds of millions of taxpayers’ dollars annually. We ask that our city leaders change bureaucratic oversight of service providers existing spend-based processes to results-based processes and that service providers’ operational plans provide measurement of tangible results that connect to clean and safe streets.

We no longer can ignore those that are a threat to themselves and to our residents, employees and visitors. We need to enforce existing laws to provide the protection for all San Franciscans, including those who are homeless, mentally ill and addicted. We believe ‘beat’ police officers who are present and enforcing existing laws, particularly, in our high-traffic tourist and visitor corridors will lead to safer street conditions
